A new app from Visdon will give your android phone with front facing camera the ability to scan your face in order to grant access to locked down applications. The program, named Applock, analyzes the features of your face in order to work as a password. It will not work to keep your phone secure at the lock screen level however you have the option to secure any of the apps on your phone. The application is still far from perfect and as such will not provide perfect protection, often being fooled simply by scrunching up ones face. In the event a face cannot be recognized or is not of the allowed category a popup will occur for traditional password authentication.
