Amazon App of the Day: Everlands

Today marks the beginning of a new series of posts which will go over the free Amazon app of the day for Android. Every day Amazon gives out a paid app for free. Todays pick is Everlands which is a puzzle adventure turn based action game normally going for $1.99. In game you are an animal with special abilities, the goal of the game is to make it through the levels by collecting the most Hexagons using the abilities your character possesses. There are over20 levels and 20 characters in the game to help fight your boredom. Overall I found the game ok but not great. I am not a big fan of these types of games so I am undoubtedly biased. User reviews are quite good with an overall 3 and 1/2 star rating.

Everlands animals must unite to combine the best of their abilities, together standing against the great threat that casts a shadow over their beloved homeland. Each animal has unique strengths, weaknesses, and features. Defeat the foes of Everlands through strategy and tactics by combining dozens of animal abilities, leading them through more than 20 carefully prepared levels. Reveal the truth behind the source of mysterious evil in a unique turn-based game. The goal of the game is to win battles by capturing as many enemy hexagons as possible with the strengths and abilities of your animal hexagons. If you manage to gain more than half of the combatants in that round, you win the battle. Over 20 hand painted characters based on real world animals One-device, multi player capable, turn based gameplay, collect new animals with every victorey in more than 20 levels.

While I don't necessarily find the game the best in the world you may find it the next big thing after Angry Birds and so I recommend that you check it out. You will need to download the Amazon app store from HERE and sign up for an account. The free app of the day is always located at the top of the home screen for the store.
